Why It Worked

Kindle and I met in the fifth grade—two new girls, instantly bonded by ambition, wit, and the quiet competition of who could outsmart who. We stayed close through high school and college. But as life moved, so did we—Kindle went on to dominate in real estate, while I was globe-trotting, building systems for Fortune 500 companies.
Years passed. Then one day, Kindle saw one of my ads.
